Security Officer - Full Time

Job Title: Security Officer/First Aid

Department: Security

Reporting Relationship: Security Supervisor

Status: Full-time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Starting Wage: $15.00/per hour (with Class D license or 2+ years security experience) Insurance -Medical, dental and vision, Vacation, PTO, 401K (up to 4% company match) and more.

Summary of Duties: Normal daily security patrols both on foot and by mechanical methods. Report any and all Security and Safety issues/incidents as prescribed by company and department policy and procedures.

Primary Duties:

  • Patrol parking area and Gatorland property to provide guests and employees with a safe and secure environment to visit and work.
  • To assist in company compliance with Local, State, Federal and Company rules and regulations.
  • To make timely and accurate reports to supervisor, director and or CEO regarding any and all incidents which happen on Gatorland property. Excellent writing skills is a plus.
  • Act as the primary response person for all medical needs (First Aid/Injury) for all guests and employees.
  • Possess good communication skills & report writing skills.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Education, Experience, Specialized Skills, and Knowledge Requirements: High School graduate with current Class D Security License and 2+ years previous security experience. Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation. Prefer certification in CPR/First Aid. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and present a professional image. Must have the ability to deal effectively with stressful situations at the time of crisis to allow professional discharge of duties and job performance. Must be available to work outside the parameters of a regular work schedule if needed (extended hours, extra days, etc.).
