Intro to Entertainment- Full Time

Work schedule:                       Overtime may be required - Weekends and holidays availability required

Status:                                   Full-time/hourly/non-exempt

Summary of Duties:  This is the first step into the entertainment department. On this level the employee is responsible for the learning and training required to work in and around our animals. This will include but not limited to working with crocodilians of all ages and sizes, venomous reptiles, non-venomous reptiles, and any other animals that apply to their work. The work of these animals will include but not limited to performing in the show with animals, while handling and feeding in a safe manner, capture and restraint, transport and husbandry.

If selected as a potential candidate, you will be asked to complete an audition as well.

Primary Duties:

  1. Learn and perform all Gatorland shows.
  2. Know all opening and closing procedures for the Entertainment department.
  3. Be able to learn and be responsible for two Entertainment areas.
  4. Learn and know all Gatorland policies and procedures.
  5. Provide our guests with fun, smiles and special memories.

Education, experience and specialized skills and knowledge requirements:

Must be 18 Years of Age. High school or GED equivalency. No professional experience required. Basic public speaking skills or 6 months experience performing in shows. Must be physically able to perform above duties without any physical limitations. Acceptable driving history is required.  Will be asked to memorize a script and audition for the position. EOE
