Status: Full Time/Hourly

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Bartender to oversee bar operations and support the bartending team. This role combines hands-on bartending with leadership responsibilities, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, consistent drink quality, and efficient service. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep beverage knowledge and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests
  • Lead, train, and mentor bartending staff to maintain high performance and service standards
  • Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure consistency in drink preparation, presentation, and portioning
  • Manage inventory, place orders, and monitor stock levels to minimize waste
  • Enforce responsible alcohol service and verify legal drinking age
  • Handle escalated customer concerns or complaints professionally
  • Collaborate with management on menu development, specials, and promotions
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Assist in scheduling and staff coordination as needed

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bartender, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, cocktails/mocktails and bar operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic inventory management
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods in an outdoor location in both heat/humidity and cold
  • Availability to work weekends, occasional night events, and holidays
  • Capability to lift and carry heavy items such as kegs, cases and supply boxes

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

  • Responsible beverage service certification
  • Experience with staff training and development
  • Creative input in menu design and bar programs

Education, Experience, Specialized Skills, and Knowledge Requirements:

Minimum work experience includes 2 years or more of bartending in the food & beverage segment of theme park or hospitality related. Understanding of team environment and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time and be able to communicate well with others. Days off will be granted dependent on the forecasted park occupancies and most likely will not be consistent week to week. Being in the Theme Park business, Weekends and Holidays are peak times, and unlikely to be granted as time off.
